Toronto is one of the most connected cities in the world.

Toronto-based businesses export over $70 billion in goods and services to every corner of the globe. The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) provides secure access to the $17.9 trillion North American market with 461 million consumers.

Toronto’s Pearson International Airport offers non-stop and same-plane service via 75 carriers to 180 destinations worldwide. The Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, which is a 15-minute drive from the downtown financial core, offers multiple daily flights to New York, Chicago, Montreal, Ottawa and other regional destinations.

Toronto shares the same time zone with New York, Boston and Washington. There is a one hour time difference with Chicago. Standard office hours in Toronto overlap those in the U.K., Europe and the west coast of North America.

Almost half of the city's population of 2.7 million was born outside Canada. More than 180 languages and dialects are spoken here. Those skills and global perspective can create a big staffing advantage for companies that need to communicate clearly with suppliers, customers and business networks around the world.
